Sequencer

Controller

The sequencer object is a 16 step loop sequencer. It sends note events to other objects. If the objects are Samplers or Oscillators it plays back a melody. With other objects the sequencer will have a different effect.

Sequence Change

The sequencer objects allows to store up to 6 preset sequences. Rotating the object changes from one preset to the other. The current sequence is shown by the arrow pointing to on of the 6 slots.

Sequence Programming

Each of the 16 steps of the sequencer can be disabled by pressing one of the slots around the object. With a gesture starting from one of the 16 points away from the object the volume of a specific step can be changed.

Subtypes

Monophonic Sequencer

The monophonic sequencer sends one note after another in order to form a monophonic sequence. This sequencer mode has a special panel which changes the pitches of the notes played.

Polyphonic Sequencer

The notes of the polyphonic sequencer are changed in a 2D panel. With the polyphonic sequencer several notes can be played at the same time.

Random Sequencer

The random sequencer generates a random sequence. This can be used together with the tonality object in order to generate automatic solos.

Panels

Monophonic Pitch

The monophonic pitch panel allows to draw a melody line with one sweep. The notes are relative to the base note of the generator which is controlled. More info

Polyphonic Pitch

On the polyphonic pitch panel note values can be edited by enabling fields in a 2d grid. The pitch values are relative to the oscillators pitch upwards.

Velocity

This panel allows to define a velocity value for each of the 16 steps of the sequence.

Step Duration

Select the time each of the steps will take. The step time is depicted as note values, where the middle line shows multiples of 32th notes. (16th notes, 8th notes, and so on). More info
